Marine Facilities Management
Nunatsiavut Marine operates port facilities in Happy Valley – Goose Bay, Black Tickle, Cartwright, Rigolet, Makkovik, Postville, Hopedale, Natuashish, and Nain, in partnership with Labrador Marine Inc. All ports are part of the North Coast of Labrador Ferry Service, a vital marine link for the people and businesses residing on the North Coast of Labrador. The ports are serviced weekly by the M.V. Kamutik W, a passenger and freight vessel, owned and operated by Labrador Marine Inc.

Happy Valley – Goose Bay Marine Facility Specs
[*] Generally accessible from June to December, depending on ice conditions.
[*] Main dock is 244 meters long by 15 meters wide.
[*] West side water depth is approx. 9 m. minimum.
[*] East side water depth is 5.6 to 9.1 m. minimum.
[*] Available Dock lay down area approx. 5500 sq. meters.
[*] Available Yard lay down area approx. 14000 sq. meters.
[*] ISPS compliant Occasional use Marine Facility.
Freight and Passenger Services
North Coast of Labrador Freight Service
Nunatsiavut Marine accepts freight in Happy Valley – Goose Bay for shipment to ports along the North Coast of Labrador Ferry Service during the shipping season. Policies and restrictions regarding freight shipments can be found here.
Reservations for the MV Kamutik W
Nunatsiavut Marine operates a ticket office with a large waiting area close the dock. Reservations can be made by telephone, available in early May, until the end of season each year.
Stevedoring
Nunatsiavut Marine, in partnership with Integrated Logistics offers Stevedoring services in Happy Valley – Goose Bay and other locations. NMI has a fleet of equipment, including forklifts, shunt trucks, trailers, and reach stackers to meet your cargo requirements.
